I hope everyone has had a relaxing and restful summer. Although September signifies the end of a season, we are delighted to see that there are a number of new beginnings happening here at Northacre.
Firstly, we are launching The Broadway’s brand new lifestyle and wellness destination, Orchard Place, SW1. From juice bars and wellbeing classes to florists and unique art installations, Orchard Place will lead the way in wellbeing innovation and is set to be the new go-to destination for those who choose to ‘Be Well’’.
We are also delighted to announce that we will be collaborating with the home of British luxury, Walpole. This exciting initiative will showcase and highlight British luxury in a bespoke one-off residence at No.1 Palace Street, designed entirely by Walpole member, luxury architectural interior design studio Oliver Burns. Taking inspiration from Buckingham Palace and its private gardens, Oliver Burns has created a unique design concept for House of Walpole entitled ‘A Celebration of the Palace Gardens’.
As mentioned before, the Northacre team are doing a fantastic job in supporting the charity, Carers Trust UK. Discover more about their charity bike ride (from London to Brighton!) and how you can donate below.

Founder of award-winning architectural practice Squire & Partners, Michael Squire shares exclusive insights on the architectural design of the stunning, luxury mixed-use development, The Broadway on Victoria Street.
“Architecture is going full circle as it so often does, from the notion of minimalist design to a design that is more richly articulated and decorated. What we have is a very geometric building that is quite unusual to look at, which I think is in a way, a throwback to the art deco period.”

I have thoroughly enjoyed all that London has had to offer over the last few months. It’s been an absolute pleasure being able to share these experiences with colleagues, friends, and family again.
With travel slowly opening up, we continue to welcome visitors to both our developments. Everyone who visits the capital is amazed by its vibrancy and abundance of activity. The property market’s resilience is a testament to London’s ongoing strength, making it one of the best cities in the world.
Our focus this month, for both The Broadway and No.1 Palace Street, is on living, and living well. We are striving to deliver not only the finest homes in London but also unique experiences to support our clients along their wellness journeys, helping them to truly embrace a life lived well. From London’s parks and green spaces, cycle routes and what will be the finest seasonal produce in our F&B offerings, we plan to create a lifestyle ecosystem of wellbeing throughout each and everything we do.
Whilst delivering one of London’s largest mixed-use residential schemes at The Broadway, plans are also underway to create a new city culture and contemporary wellness destination in the heart of the city. Discover more below where we share some exclusive insights and make sure you stay tuned for further updates coming soon.
The restoration of No.1 Palace Street is one of London’s finest examples of exquisite architecture and its views over Buckingham Palace continue to inspire us. With changes to planning and a headwind of challenges in the construction industry, I suspect that this will be one of London’s last Super Prime legacy projects.
I wish you all a joyous summer full of happiness and wellness whether you’re at home or away.

An unpaid carer provides essential support to a friend or family member who is unable to cope due to a disability, a mental health issue or an addiction.
There are more than seven million unpaid carers in the UK and on average these carers are working for an additional 10 hours a week.
Unpaid carers across the country are now faced with new challenges because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes working even more hours per week and as a result, are suffering with feelings of extreme worry and burnout.
Since the pandemic, Carers Trust has done a fantastic job of providing unpaid carers with much needed information, advice, emotional support, hands on practical help and access to much needed breaks.
From the 7th – 13th of June, Carers Trust joined forces with six major charities including, Oxfam and Age UK, for Carers Week. The aim of this annual campaign is to help carers feel more visible and valued and Northacre has been proudly supporting the cause by raising awareness and funds. To facilitate this the team will be taking part in a fundraising activity in aid of Carers Trust in July – stay tuned for more details on this in our next journal! For more information about the campaign click here or to donate please click here.

I am delighted to say that summer has officially arrived in London. The streets and parks are abuzz with activity and the city is well and truly in bloom. It’s not just London’s streets that are a hive of activity either. The London Property market has shown resilience once again as transactions continue to soar across the capital. London’s reputation as the international city of choice continues to draw investors from near and far to enjoy the city’s rich lifestyle, history, and culture. At Northacre, we are incredibly privileged to have worked within Prime Central London for over 30 years meaning we’ve borne witness to London’s ever-changing landscape. However, one of the biggest challenges to super prime development has been The City Plan, a planning blueprint for Westminster which was created in 2018. Since its incarnation there have been many reiterations of the plan, resulting in The City Plan 2019-40 that was introduced in the last few weeks. The plan seeks to ensure a vibrant mix of homes and communities and has officially set a limit of 200 square metres for new builds in the borough. Therefore, having two developments, No.1 Palace Street and The Broadway, nearing completion feels like an even greater achievement. These properties offer a rare opportunity for buyers to purchase some of the last remaining homes exceeding this limit. Large lateral apartments with generous space have certainly been at the top of our enquiries list. The introduction of this plan will no doubt dramatically change the residential landscape of the historic heart of London and will inevitably increase the ‘prize asset’ value of our larger apartments and townhouses. We would be delighted to welcome you to see our latest masterpieces in the making. Feel free to schedule a booking with our team today. CEO Niccolò Barattieri di San Pietro |
